How to disable Game Launcher’s notifications on Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+
Samsung S8 / S8+ users have difficulty in experiencing the product because of the interruption of Samsung’s Game Optimizing system.
Game Optimizing Service is pre-installed on many Samsung devices. The function of this software is to improve the performance and energy savings of gaming devices.
However, the default provision of the app also includes “receive marketing information”, which causes users to repeatedly receive advertising messages while using it.
What makes the user uncomfortable is that it is quite difficult to turn off the Game Launcher’s notifications. There are users who reflect that they can not find a way to disable ad notifications from Game Optimizing Service because this app is tied to Game Launcher.
Although users can disable this feature in the “Marketing Info” section of the panel, doing so does not completely block all ads.
“I do not pay $1000 just to see ads on my phone,” one user on Reddit said in anger.
So far, there are a lot of solutions to this problem and here is the most thorough and easy way to disable ads from Game Optimizing Service.
How to disable Game Launcher’s notifications on Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+:
- The first step is to make sure the Game Launcher application is turned on, by checking Edit> Applications> Game Launcher and then pressing the “Enable” button at the top of the menu.
- Disable again to complete, however, some people complain that even with the shutdown, some of those messages still show up.
- Go to the Notifications section at the bottom and click on it. In the next panel, click the “On Lock Screen” button and set “Not Show Notifications”.
- Go back to Edit> Applications> Game Launcher and select Permissions. Also, do not forget to turn off all the options in the Permissions section.
If you follow the steps above, Game Optimizing ads will no longer appear. However, this also means that all notifications from Game Launcher are disabled.
