iOS 12 review: FaceID can recognize 2 faces
In the latest update to the iOS operating system, Apple has added the iPhone X to the option of “Alternate Face”, similar to TouchID previously can store up to 5 fingerprints.
When updating iOS 12, iPhone users will see in Settings Face ID “Set Up an Alternative Appearance.” This will set the user to set up a new face, the same operation as when set. TouchID for the first time.
Apple’s use of the term “Alternative Appearance” may be difficult for some users to understand. But after successfully setting up, this customization actually allowed two different people to use FaceID to open an iPhone X.
However, unlike the old Touch ID, which removes any fingerprints at any time, Apple only allows Face ID to simultaneously delete both “owner face” and “owner Alter-face” data.
